Delete assets

You can delete assets in the following circumstances:

• The asset Net book value is 0 (zero).
• The asset has been disposed of.

Note: No postings are undertaken during the deletion process. Posting to the Nominal Ledger is done during the disposal process or, if the asset has depreciated to 0 (zero) during the depreciation process.

To delete assets

Open: Nominal Ledger > Fixed Assets > Delete Asset.

A list of assets is displayed, showing the Code, Description, Date acquired, Last depreciated date and Disposal date.

Note: Only assets that have been disposed of or where the Net book value is 0 (zero) are shown in the list.

1. Select the assets that you want to delete.
2. Click Delete.
• Confirm at the prompt that you want to delete the selected assets.
